    Windows recovery disk

My computer decided tO die today, and it needs the vista repair/recovery disk, I don't have that anymore but a mate has a vista disk, can I use that one to repair the problem? Cheers.

Depends on the nature of the fault - if it's a system file repair then yes, if it's a reinstall then... it depends on your license and the version of the Vista recovery CD.

    Re: Windows recovery disk

As far as I know all versions of Vista\7 are on all the discs (except the 32/64 bit differences), it is simply the license code that determines which version you get.
