got a pc here which i just put a new psu in it as the 12v rail was at 0.12v and now i have got a whopping 0.13v with the brand new psu.
Ive tried new hdd\DVDs tested ram CPU and hdds and all pass.
now can the mobo be causing this problem as I'm out of ideas with this one, it does work and boot OK but something ain't right.

if the 12v line was really at <1v the pc would not post, its a false reading, due to the software or bios. if it works and does not crash don't look for a problem
*edit, say no more its a HP PC so i guess its the bios not being read correct.
try something like aida64 to see if that gives a better reading

that's the thing there ain't no temps or voltage on this boards bios, ill get the multi meter out and see what that says.*edit, say no more its a HP PC so i guess its the bios not being read correct.
no m8, it wont have it displayed in the bios but another software app may show the correct voltage, try aida64 or ignore it

auto fan is disabled and i ain't messing around in the bios cos there ain't anything there to mess around with in the first place.
cpu fan now shuts down after power up so looks like the mobo is on its way out.

Can you try the fan on a different header? The headers can fail.
The fan shutting off is perfectly normal on some boards. Give it a round of linpack / Prime or something and it should fire up when needed.
i swapped the CPU and system fan around and the system fan kept going and the CPU fan stopped when powered up this time for some reason.
might be the CPU fan is faulty but its only done this since i put the new psu in it and the CPU fan does power up but stops running when powered from either cpu\sys fan headers.
Try powering it directly from the PSU if it still stops after a while it is the fan - Simple.
My motherboard doesn't monitor voltages properly and the board manufacturers know about it too. So I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a known issue with the board.
