    Replacement Fans

Looking to replace the 120mm fans in my system and have decided that the Akasa Apache's fit the bill. Quiet and decent air-flow (from what I can glean from the specs and reviews). Good choice? Or are there better out there for roughly the same price?

    Thanks.

    Re: Replacement Fans

Apaches are rated very highly, especially for being quiet. Are you using the PWM function? I actually found that the changing speed of the fan is more annoying than a steady hum, so would go for a non-PWM fan for CPU-cooler, or just make sure it stays at a steady setting in BIOS. 1250RPM scythe gentle typhoon are very highly rated for CPU-cooler use (super expensive though).
So - Apaches are good. If changing speeds annoy you, get a gentle typhoon for the cooler.

I can't recommend Noctuas range of fans highly enough though they can be a bit more expensive than most of their rivals.
