    4890 heatsink disassembly

My graphics card's heat sink is full of dust and I would like to know whether or not it is possible to take apart the heat sink or at least be able to remove dust from it without removing it from my graphics card? As I would like to avoid having to buy more thermal paste. Thanks

The first thing to try is a compressed "air" can and a vacuum cleaner, that normally does the trick well enough. Make sure you hold the fan so it does not spin, which avoids damage the fan (induction in the motor can cause issues with some fans).
