Strange flickering issue with ati hd5670

Hi guys,

last week i picked up a sapphire radeon hd5670 which is a perfect card for what i want it for only ive been having a few issues with it,

just recently ive noticed that whenever i load up a youtube page the bottom on the screen with almost flicker once or twice and for a split second a long black bar will appear or the screen will sort of screw up for a second (sorry! its really hard to describe)

its a really annoying problem

basically my main screen is connected to the vga input and i also have my tv connected via the dvi (using a dvi to vga adaptor) just this evening i was watching a film on the tv and throughout it was flickering in various places and doing that weird issue ive just described, it even lost sync once or twice as the tv displayed the signal info again like when you first put the source on.

I wondered if you've heard of such an issue and knew any cures? I've just last night updated the newest drivers and its still doing it

The card isnt overclocked but i did increase the fan speed to see if that helped but temps are happily sitting at 35c anyway so it shouldnt be a temp issue! google hasnt provided much help so any advice would be amazing!

someone mentioned to me the ram could be faulty?

is there an app i can use to test the gpu's ram?

nice one! although a nice friendly ui would have been nice

its plodding along as we speak.

although it says 'of 128mb' but my card has 512mb of ram, what does it all mean?

now the window has just dissapeared without telling me anything?! thers a readme there but i cant open it?

ok, theres a few updates...

My mate lent me his spare 250 gts card which i fitted and im still getting the same issue, although since installing a new psu i dont get the flickering on my main display often enough to be annoying and a restart fixes it anyway but my tv (connected via dvi) still flickers like mad but since swapping it over to hdmi it doesnt do it so im very confused, its either a problem with the motherboard or a problem with windows (win 7 pro 64)

any ideas?

Sorry for bumping this thread, but I have also the same issue with my Sapphire Radeon HD 5670.
Did you fix the problem in the meanwhile? I think it has something to do with Flash Hardware Acceleration....
