AMD 5850 screen flickering when overclocked (in CCC)

    Hello!

I'm having trouble overclocking my 5850 using Catalyst. I haven't done it in a while and the only big thing I have changed is that now I have 3 monitors, not 1.

I've changed my mb and memory, reinstalled windows, updated the mb bios and gfx card drivers and still it happens. I've also tried older driver versions.

As soon as I OC the card, even by 5 mhz, the bottom half of (my left and right screens) flicker intermittantly - usually when I'm moving windows about (i think). The centre one is fine.

    Could anybody help please?

I think this is just a known and very common issue for Overclocking with CCC and using Dual Monitors.

If you overclock using something else, or use just a single monitor you should be OK.

Re: AMD 5850 screen flickering when overclocked (in CCC)

So I've purchased a graphics card that is designed to use multiple monitors and allow overclocking and it doesn't work...

    I'll try another tool later.

    Thank you.
