Graphics suddenly slow - Aero sluggish

    Evening all,

Hope you can help, as I'm not sure where to start with this one.

Basically, the minimizing and maximizing windows Aero animations are suddenly starting to take a few seconds, rather than the mere instants that they have in the past. I've also just loaded up Team Fortress 2, and this is playing at a crawl - it's not quite a slideshow, but more the illusion of a slowed down replay for instance.

I have absolutely no idea what could be causing this. I've checked that the power cables are still plugged in to my graphics card, and as far as I'm aware, I haven't installed any software as of late...

Would appreciate any input - cheers guys!

A GTX 275.... latest 280.26 drivers installed too...

Just as an update - this now appears to be resolved for now.

After turning it off, clearing the CMOS, entering the same settings as before, it's now back up to speed.... sometimes I hate computers...

I've also just discovered that Device Manager is now showing my Microsoft Wireless Transceiver for Bluetooth 2.0 as "Device cannot start". This is definitely new, but seeing as another (exactly the same) transceiver installs and works fine, I can only presume that this has suddenly died as well.

It's weird because paired devices (i.e. my keyboard), still work with it when it's plugged in, but after removing the keyboard as a device and re-adding it, it no longer finds it. As I say, computers...

it sounds like a service is not set to automatic - primarily the the upnp one - or possibly the upnp settings in BIOS

as 4 gfx drivers, i was always go for the one before the latest & hear if the latest are any good - cuz it isnt til theyre found buggy that they decide hey! we need 2 update these lol
