HELP! Cant Format Hard Disk!

I got a nasty virus/spyware combo on my system, I tried every virus scanner spyware remover available but nothing worked, so i tried to format.

But, i cant seem to format my hard disk! I tried to use my Win XP SP1 cd, but it never have me the format option. I tried the boot disk, but it didnt give me the format option either. I then made a boot up disk, to start in dos mode, but it didnt detect my C:!

And I cant format while im running windows, becuase im using it! ARGH!!

Help please, anyone, what do I do?

CHange the bios to boot from CD, insert Yer XP CD it should boot to XP and ask if you want to re-install. Select yer Dodgy partition, delete it ( it has about 2 or 3 confirmations) then set up on your partition with the option to Quick format & Install
The only odd bit I've come across is if you have a SATA Hard Drive you'll need your Driver Disk and you have to hit F6 (I think, it prompts you as it passes this stage but you do need to be quick)

You could also try Disk Manager Software from the relevant Hard disk Manufacturer, most have free download stuff thats tied to and installation with at least one of their hard drives present.

Nothing more to be said! Unless you have another computer to instal it in and then format.. So dos Fdisk didn't work? Play with the XP disk, it will alow you to format If you still have trouble let me know!
