    Question Asus k8v motherboard

    Replaced psu but i am not sure where to plug in plugs marked power switch, power led, reset switch and hd sw, pc switches on fans are spinning but power button frt panel not working and although their is a light on the dvd drive it will not open, no beeps sound but hard drive is spinnng, on image on screebn. Please help before i blow myself up!

    Welcome to the forums, I've moved this thread to somewhere a little more appropriate

    Those plugs you describe (power switch, power led, reset switch) connect the PC's front panel to the motherboard. Perhaps they got disconnected by mistake when replacing that PSU. It'd be easier to help if we knew what parts you are working with.
    My only concern is should I hide my true identity? A costume maybe?

    scaryjim: 10" is just a little large to hold comfortably in one hand, which makes it a lot harder to tap, swipe and generally interact with.

    Jules,

    Download the manual for the correct model of K8V you have from here and it will show you where each of the leads plug in. As a general rule of thumb they are colour coded to the board so red cable to red connector and so on...........the mobo pdf will help
