when i do a connection test on ps3 it says type 2 and on black ops it says nat open but i still cant join my friends i forwarded al ports and enabled upnp my router is zyxel p-6660hw t1 v3 and im with post office can anyone help pls

Perhaps you need a Pat test instead of a NAT test then?

Type 2 is all you SHOULD need. Type 1 is something hardly anyone has now-a-days.

Are you sure the issue is at your end? If so, I would suspect that Zyxel router....I have had the displeasure of using Zyxel routers before and they clearly do not do what they say they should do!

thanks but i wouldnt have a glue how to do a pat test my brother is using the same one but hes with eircom he just plugged his in and his is flying and he never forwarded any ports the only difference i could see is that his upnp was already ticked

If you forward the ports incorrectly, it will never work.

Un-forward them...especially if you are not 100% sure you have it exactly right.

Make sure uPnP is on.

Update firmware in router (if possible/available).
