    Unhappy my pc wont boot after clearing cmos.

    I turned my pc on and it froze starting up, i hmmmd then restarted, it booted up and froze again, i for some reason instead of going into the bios and checking the hd was set up ok, i cleard the cmos.
    Then after it wouldent boot, i thought the psu may of gone, but the little light in the botom right corner of the mother board is light up so theres power, checking the power buton was pluged into the mother bord, it was, so we took the thing apart and rebuilt it, checking the cpu was ok, it was, and still wont boot.

    pc spec::
    P4 3.0
    abit max-3 motherbord
    1gb corsair 4000
    radeon 9800 pro
    q-tec 350w powersuply (hench i thought it was this that went)
    sblive soundcard

    i turnd it off when i fliped the cmos jumper over to clear it, but the pc was still pluged in so there was power in the mobo, would this effect it?

    pls help i rly dont no wahts wrong.

    Have you tried soft-resetting it:

    1. unplug power cable from back of PSU and wait for a few seconds.
    2. press INSERT key on keyboard and keep it pressed while you plug power cable back in and power up the system.

    hey , i remember reading about that now in the manual, but we found the problem after trying a new psu and humming alot, dled the manual of the world wide web and found out im such a fecking dumbass cos i left the cmos jumper to clear thinking its save so it wouldent boot up, i can say i was releaved it was somin nice and simple, and not a hardware fault

    n00b status increased i think.
