My dad bought me this new Desktop PC, I was expecting a gaming PC but my dad isn't that techy enough so he actually bought me this, a non-gaming PC build. So here's the specs:
i3 2100 (3.10 ghz), 4 gb ram (1333mhz),LGA 1155 Q65 chipset mobo w/ 2 dual x16 PCI E slot. with a mini/mid tower. Not really sure about that one.
Obviously I want to upgrade this by replacing the PSU and putting a Video Card for gaming purposes. Im looking forward to a Sapphire HD 6850 but Im not sure if it will fit in my rig. 1st factor is the length, according to the specs, a Sapphire HD 6850's dimension is 9.37" x 3.86" x 1.46". I measured the space inside my case and the available space from edge to edge(length) is about 10. so so inches. So I guess the length of the card will fit but i noticed that the card might bump in the SATA ports in the right most part of the mobo and are about 1/2 inch away from the PCIE slot lane.
Any thoughts about this? I don't want to buy the card if it wouldn't fit. Someone might have this same situation?
