Reformatted, anything I've missed?

Sensing i needed to start afresh to erase all the complications on my system, I reformatted my HD last night. Just passing through to ensure that I haven't missed anything obvious when installing all the usual essentials.

So far I have: Sata, Nvidia, and Wireless Network drivers installed; Everything that WindowsUpdate.com deemed critical; Avg Anti-Virus; and MSN Messenger.

Is there anything you guys would deem weird not to have that I haven't already installed? I don't mind how mundane, just whatever you personally would suggest ~

When you say nVidia I guess you mean chipset drivers. What about graphics drivers? Firewall?

Any non IE web-browser.

Use IE and your system will become bogged down again pretty quickly !

I'm guessing that firefox that you've all been going on about then
Firewall is undecided, I only have the drivers that Windows Update has said i need:

AOC International (Europe) Gmbh Monitor Driver Version 1.0
Silicon Image storage software update released on May 12 2004.
NVIDIA Corporation multimedia software update released on March 26 2004.

Undecided on Firewall, but it'll have to be a nice free one as i'm a little cash strapped atm

I use Opera myself, but Firefox is equally as good apparently
