I have disabled thumbnails by going into
"Windows Explorer, click ion Tools->Folder options. 2. Click the View tab. 3. Check the follow option. Always show icons, never thumbnails" and that fixes the problem but if i untick this and browse my video folders that have .mk2 .Mp4 ect in thumbnail view the explorer process will max out at 100% to the point i can not even use task manager as PC is so slow so am forced to reboot.
It is obviously decoding the video files for some reason. How can I disable this behaviour? As miss having this feature of windows when viewing pictures folder.
Any help or ideas would be great, cheers![]()

This has also helped the Xbox when streaming. The Xbox would freeze when I had all those files in one folder.
