A cashiers cheque is like a bank draft. Assuming it's legitimate, in sterling and drawn on a UK bank, it should be as good as cash. They are used often when dealing in different currencies between countries. As with all online transactions, ensure the funds have cleared into your account (which should be overnight) before sending goods.

Dude, i deal with mail servers for a large global organisation. We are currently in the process of sorting out spam. I have seen hundreds like this.............and i mena hundreds.

Now if this one is directly to you - things like the to address and the name he calls you and the object will be correct..if not, dont go further.

My advice - email the guy and ask exactly what hes one about. Certainly dont give anything till you got the money!

Once a cheque clears it can still be cancelled by the sender, I was shocked to hear that hapening in alot of ebay scams.. SO dont trust anyone sending a cheque without some kinda feedback would be my advise.
