RAM problems?

and on checking my heatsink last night i found it to be ever so slightly wobbly (ie i ould budge it about 1/2 a cm in either direction)

I think that might be the problem - try reseating the heatsink so that it sits on the chip properly, not forgetting to put thermal paste on properly.

Edit: Also, how long was it before the torture test came up with an error?

6 Mins, the other forms of test ran ok. i'm not massively surprised my heatsink is the problem, i couldnt get it at first because of me being to afraid to unwire/screw everything to get my MB out and so spending ages on trying to persuade it to go in while the MB was still attatched..

Will i need to scrape off the thermal paste that is already there?
