Creative Gigaworks T20 Volume....
I decided to buy a pair of Creative Gigaworks T20 Series II speakers as i wanted some semi-decent speakers that don't dominate my desk (or my wallet )... I'm actually very impressed with them so far, but there's one little niggle! The volume knob clicks to turn them on, but then i have to turn them a fair amount before i start to hear anything... There appears to be a 'dead spot' in the the volume control.
Does anyone else here have these speakers? How far do you have to turn the knob before you start to hear anything?
Cheers!

I have some old Creatives, but not the T20s. Does this happen in Windows, or in particular apps ?

It happens in Windows, XBMC and games etc... I don't think it's a software issue as it also happens if i hook up an ipod directly to the speakers via the aux-in port. It seems i have to turn the volume knob quite a bit before i start to hear anything, then i only have to turn it a tiny bit for the volume to increasep by a considerable amount! I think there's some kind of volume 'dead spot'.

Nah I think they're like that. I have a pair and after it 'clicks' I have to turn it a little bit before anything happens. Not too much though but a bit nonetheless. And then they get loud quick. It's annoying late at night when you're trying to listen at low volume alright.

I no longer have my T20 II but I remember having to turn the volume knob about 30-40% of the way until I heared a thing. Not to say it's a fault but I reckon there is a dead spot and echoing Zhaoman it gets loud quickly after that.

Cheers for the replies, i think it's just the way they were designed as i know someone with a pair of T10's that do the same thing!
