    I reckon that you have the option "hide extension for known file types" ticked in Tools, Folder Options, View. That "Office Data File" is probably your .pst file, and you should be able to point the Personal Folders service in Outlook at it and use that - then do your import. Take a copy of it before you start, just in case.

    sorted now dude for some reason windwos xp doesnt like the PST extension when searching but yes it was the office data file
