    Windows 7 volume mixer

    Halp!

I recently formatted and since the format I can't control the audio levels for individual programs like I was able to pre-format. Moving the sliders does nothing. Anybody any idea?

    EDIT:

All drivers and whatnot are installed. I'm somewhat stumped

Pic here shows music playing when it should be muted yet I can still hear it.

    EDIT 2:

Somehow sorted this. Don't really know what I did to fix it!

    Re: Windows 7 volume mixer

Hi, I have exactly the same issue. I have the issue with the sound mixer too. Muting some applications does nothing. Turning the volume of some doesn't do anything. Some programs don't even show in the mixer volume control but the sound still plays. Do you have any idea on how to fix? It happens mostly with games.

I'm on windows 7 64 bit, I have Asus Xonar DX with all latest drivers installed. I reformatted like you and got the same issue. I've tried everything, asked everywhere and nobody knows. Please help!
