    Question wierd gfx problem

hi, i recently installed a GeForce FX5200 agp card on a msi nforce2 mobo,
when i booted up the system the screen was blank, displaying "out of range", so i tryed another monitor which gave the same error.
After a while of playing around, i discovered that if i hammered the delete key (to bring the bios up), then pressed escape, then "y" for exit without saving, the system would reboot which then showed everything on the monitor as it should.
problem is i seem to have to do this everytime i reboot, or turn my pc on, any ideas whats going on?

PS. i have all windows updates, and latest nforce drivers.

    start your machine

press F8 just after POST to go into the safe mode options

select VGA options, looks like some sort of res is loading up that your monitor isnt happy with

bear in mind this option is only applicable with XP and 2k I think

er... its a friend of mines pc so im not sure on the exact model of the mobo

    msi nforce2 mobo
    AMD Athlon 2500+
    1024 pc2700 ram (2x256, 1x512)
    nVidia GeForce FX 5200 128MB
everything else is onboard (sound, ethernet etc)

when i first put the agp card in it gave this error (blank screen)But the pc booted and worked fine if i unpluged the agp card, and used the onboard gfx...
There were problems with the other onboard stuff (audio, and eithernet, and "nvidia pci to agp something" in device manager with the card in.
i reinstalled windows, the pc then booted fine with the agp card in, but there was no drivers for the audio or ethernet, so i procceded to install the newest nForce drivers, it prompted to be rebooted, so i did, only to find the same blank screen error as before.

its set to look for the agp card first, then the pci one, i couldnt find an option to disable the onboard gfx anywhere though, only audio ethernet etc
