    Spyware has totaly taken over

can anyone give me some advice on what to do

ive used ad aware spybot and all sorts of others and it just cant get rid of the spyware..i think the file keeps changing name so by the time ive rebooted
the file has changed and it keeps installing other crap everytime too..

i get flooded with tons of pop ups and little windows boxs

can anyone give me some advice before i format this hard drive again

I know it may seem stupid but you tried running adaware and avg while in safe mode? I had a similar problem and that sorted it.

Avg antivirus. Also turn off system restore. As the file can back itself up to there and you cant touch it.

well i fixed the problem by

disconnecting the hdd and running it slave on another machine,
and then running a spyware checker that way

and then running cw shredder to remove the little bits

and then running hijackthis by removen the rest of the stuff out of my reg

i then ran norton system work to repair any broken reg lines
