    serving server problems

    ok just been intreuged by servers and the liek, and was reading and having a think about that and all, so i went to the dyndns site, registered, and got a hostname and the like, but it says ya would need ftp software, to gain acces to it, which is ok, but it talks about hgttp software... im new to this and i may be putting the bog feet in my mouth or over some warez lines, but what it this, could anyone shine sum light on this problem? is this liek where people could jsut type in say http://evans187.ath.cx and see the list of files, cos thsi would be really usefull because not everywhere i go or not everyone i know would have access to ftp software, or am i waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off, lol?

    ne ideas? even links would be a help?

    (im lookin at you myth, you put this crazy idea in my small mind)

    Ok, sorry to doubel post, but i have came a long way, ive gone the microsoft way, set up a new user and eveything bla bla bla etc, but all i have to do is get the username and password sorted out, i dont know what to use, have you guys got any suggestions? ive tried guest and guest, and other wee things, please guys this would help, the address is ftp.evans187.ath.cx

    Ok im triple posting, never done that before, ooh, but i got the probelm sorted i i knwo have as much onlien webspace as i want so theres no need to post help, but if anyone needs s hand settign one up, just ask

    you have as much online webspace as you want? Do you mean that you are hosting stuff from your machine?

    If so bear n mind bandwidth is an issue.

    yeah, from my hdd on my machine directly, its pretty sweet, and only sum 56krs gety really slow times, u want a hand doing the same thing?

    lol, Nah, your not liek my teachers, They tell e my writing is krap, and they cant read it, its ok now really i have it sorted out and not in need of help but if sum1 else needs help doing this ill explain it again,

    i thought it would be obvious by now, i am the worst typer on hexus, like seven different people have told me so.
