    FPS Monitor while watching videos.

    A friend of mine has tasked me with fixing a problem with is machine (over the web) of trying to get rid of this (I shall name it) "debug monitor" which appears whenever There seems to be a video (that uses flashplayer) on the page.

    Above is the link to a screenshot he sent me and the debug monitor can be seen on the top left of the screen (just below the facebook tab).
    Does anybody have any idea what this is and how to get rid of it?

    It looks like some sort of fraps, personally i would goto start, type msconfig, click startup and see if the program is in there and just uncheck it.

    I will try that out. Could you suggest any good programs to so that I can take control of his computer to assist him?

    If you're both on windows, then remote assistance works OK. Logmein works OK too and has a free trial.
