Mic loudness in windows 7

Hi I got a mad cats rockband USB mic and I'm useing it for Skype calls, trouble is its so quiet no one can here me, I've check the mic settings in Skype and windows and they are on 100% is there any other settings in windows I can check to make it louder?

What Audio chip is it? Is there a Microphone Boost setting in the Recording Devices Window?

not that i can seem there is a slider in the properties> levels but thats all the way up to 100.

have you checked it in another app? may sound stupid, but your mic might be faulty.

Skype has an auto adjustment feature... Have you checked that is off?
