    DVD-R burning Problems

Just bought a pack of cheap Bulkpak DVD-R's. I've used them before more or less without a hitch, but BURNproof reported them as manufactured by Princo, these new ones are different. Just burnt 3 different DVD-Video dsik images to 3 separate disks, 4x, all passed disk verification ok, and they play no problem in my second DVD drive, my Xbox and my DVD player. However in my DVD writer (a Lite-On LDW-811s, latest firmware) they are filled with pauses and jumps.

The last type of disks I used were Infiniti and they burnt and played fine in my 811s.

I don't understand how a disk can burn without any problems, pass a disk verification, and then not play properly in a DVD drive. Is it the media, the drive, or somthing else?

Can someone recommend some media for this drive? Good quality at a reasonable price. I just bought 50 Memorex 4x DVD-R's. ANy good?

    Cheers guys.

Just because the data is there, it doesnt mean it dont have a load of errors with it.
This is when the drive starts to read the error correction on the disk to determine the correct data, as it cant read the "real" data.
This may be whats happening, but could be other things.
Grab DVDinfo (google it) and measure the errors on the disk (i *think* it can do this...its been a while).

I'll have a look for it. Seems a bit funny the disks play fine in other drives though innit?

I ran DVDinfo to check for read errors and there were no reported errors in either my DVD-RW and DVD drive.
