NF7 has the AC'97 onboard sound, the NF7-S has Soundstorm. NF7-S is well worth the extra £15!

Careful, I think the Atlantis was the one with the slower memory architecture meaning it'll run slower then other 9800Pro's. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.
Cheeky Sapphire!

you guys rock!
i guess i should go SATA now aswell seing as i'm getting him a SATA mobo... that mobo will work the 2100 all be it a little slow yeah?
Yes it will, but AthlonXPs REALLY benefit from running the memory synchronously with the FSB speed; my machine at home has PC3200 memory; it's actually fractionally slower if I run the memory at PC3200 speeds rather than PC2700 speeds.
ok sweet, which sata drive from ebuyer - i know i'm taking the mick now, you two just seem to know your stuff
ok then i might stick with IDE, if it will save money
It won't hurt you; the hard disk certainly won't be a bottleneck, but can I recommend that you do run it off the actual IDE channels and not via the Serillel adapter supplied? I originally had an IDE drive which I ran via that and it gave issues.
There ya go, the Atlantis is slower than other 256bit 9800Pro's.Since the roll-out of the Sapphire 128-bit version of RADEON 9800 PRO core into the channel it has been brought to our attention that this model is being met with some confusion and for this we would like to extend our sincere apologies. Keeping with our level of interaction within the community, Sapphire is moving to alleviate said confusion by renaming the 128-bit version to the Sapphire RADEON 9800 ATLANTIS and we are instructing each of our retail partners to clearly and prominently list the 128-bit memory specification. Further to this end, the Sapphire RADEON 9800 ATLANTIS 128-bit products boxes will now be labeled with an oversized 128-bit sticker on the boxes face as well,” Sapphire Technology said.
