I have found the service manuals very useful recently when fixing friends laptops. You can usually find them on the dell/hp etc websites

thanks. it doesn't look like it should be too hard, it's just the top and keyboard and LCD that's came off, and heatsink from CPU so it should just be a case of screwing it all back together again and just 3 cables to plug back in
