    Ending processes shutdown

When trying to free up memory for programs to run i sometimes bring up task manager and end some processes. I noticed alot of svchost.exe If i end the svchost on the NETWORK SERVICE i get a NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM shut down. This is since i installed windows service pack2 any suggestions? My firewall is up to date (zone alarms) so is my virus protection (AVG) and i have spyware upto date. Surly this cant be the Blaster worm or can it? My system works fine untill i end this process. My internet connection was disconnected when i tried this.

    Many thanks mike

Svchost is completely normal, i have 4 running atm. It's a networking service for different programs iirc.

I think it does, I updated my laptop to sp2 and also updated it from "warm golden syrup" into "cold black treacle"

    But I feel so secure.
