Windows 8 new gpu and cant use safemode! Help >.<
Right so got a 7950, first one I just uninstalled nvidia drivers powered down and swapped my 460 for the card which worked fine however I had to send it back and now have my second one. Went to install today doing the exact same process as before however this time I just get to the windows 8 splash screen and after that all my monitor does is flick on and off (as if its installing gpu drivers...indefinitely) cant do anything to stop this, I also tried the onboard GPU (i5) just to make sure it wasnt the card however I hit the same wall! I thought it wouldnt be much of an issue so I went to try and boot into Safemode... appears Microsoft in their great wisdom has removed this!!?? I cant access it and the only real way to access it is via msconfig which doesnt help as I tried putting in my 460 and changing the setting to boot to safemode and then turned it off swapped cards and it doesnt budge!.
Apparently making a recovery drive allows for this option but it doesnt, ive gone through all the options but all I have is refresh/restart, trouble shoot which contains only "auto fix" which finds nothing. At a loss here, I cannot boot into my flipping system and it seems to be drivers since the card displays everything else and my onboard is having the same issue.
MADNESS MICROSOFT IS MAKING ME RAGE. Any ideas? Need to get this done today :(.
edit: Well finally got to safe mode... worked fine but cant install amd catalyst as it doesnt initialise properly under it :(. I cannot find anything about Nvdiai installed, I am certain its a driver conflict so does anyone know what I need to do to full remove nvidia drivers? like everything without nuking my drive? Stupid Nvidia.

Yeah I realised I was being a bit silly, I finally got to safe mode by slamming the f9 key as I used to do so I am not sure why F8 is the norm as to me that has always (and still is) the boot menu if hit to early. I cannot believe the option is not available from the recovery disc its a silly idea but oh well, got there in the end and it turns out both previous AMD drivers and remaining Nvidia drivers were conflicting so used driver sweeper as that still works, works fine now :).
