Re: GPU temp high and unexpected shut downs
i suspect that the cpu overheating was the cause then. the gpu temps should drop when you pop a side fan in.
i suggest investing in some dust filters!
something like this for the side, as magnetic ones won't work on the acrylic (the screw in ones are a pain to clean though, as they use the fan screws...so the fan has to come off too)
and this for the top - even though the top is for exhausts, dust will fall in when the system is off
dunno about the front, maybe this...what's the front of the case made off? is there room in-between the fan and case to squish something in?
there's also magnetic dust filters by demciflex, but they're more expensive.
Re: GPU temp high and unexpected shut downs
+1 to demci flex, I use them for all of my inlets and they are great, minimal dust in my system.
Cable management is not such a big thing, but decent fans/ heatsinks are more important
Re: GPU temp high and unexpected shut downs
I'll get some of those ordered and see what happens. I ordered a new GPU because I was thinking of doing that anyway so hopefully it should all work out. Thanks for all the help guys!
