That doesn't show the running voltage, only the SPD table listed voltages.

khalz1, please use the edit button rather than doing multiple replies, especially to the same message, so we can follow the thread/answer the questions a bit more easily. You will need to go into the BIOS/EFI to show the set voltage for the memory.

I know LOL, I tried to edit the post before you saw, but as in my edit, just set the voltage for the memory manually.

1.5V. It *should* be OK on auto but you never know.

I don't know if the memory is heating up, but it's worth ruling it out.

Personally I would try keep the cpu a little cooler. But I don't think it's in any immediate danger at those temps. But, if you can get a better cooler for it, then do it. As it will also lower the over all case temps. I'm not massively clued up on coolers so I don't wanna give advice on that. But I will say that I have a Corsair A50 which is running my 2500K overclocked to 4.5Ghz | 1.36v. Even after a 18+ hour prime95 test in summer, I haven't managed to breach 70c. I'm sure someone could advise something better though..

As for the other temp/s reaching 114c.. Well let's just hope that's a reading error. It's very likely if you were running AI Suite or any other Motherboard or temp/voltage monitoring software while you had that temp monitoring program running. Maybe try again after closing all other voltage and temp monitoring programs first. Then open the one you want to use and begin the test. Good luck and don't stress

Beware of AI suite, I found it to be unreliable and give me faults. The biggest fault it game me was to set my cpu cooler fan @min 600rpm with out allowing it to adjust speed as temps increased. I was ripping my pc apart and even blaming asus for a faulty motherboard, contacted asus which told me it was their AI suite. Second, as pictured below, it gave me false fan speed reading's (65000rpm lol) and showing 5 even though only 2 were connected.

lol i wish mine would run faster to get cooling faster - right whats the next step to get this heating issue sorted!? my memory is def on auto in bios running at 2400mhz

So what happens when you run it at 1600 say at 1.5V?

haven't tried it because the ram is 2400mhz ideally i want it to run at that. i will set to 1600mhz and check temp, because as mentioned earlier 2,4,5 are still over 100c without gaming but the case temp is ok,

also in the bios to make sure im a setting DRAM settings for ram, the voltage adjustments???

i have set it to run now at 1600 but them temps are still the same ovr 100c

Re: Gaming Rig HEATING up, help please before it blows!

i have closed all other temp monitors AI and use 1 only same thing - i don't get it! - set ram to 1600, volts are on auto between 1.5 - 1.65v - reading is over 100c - if i start gaming again im sure after 30 mins its gonna get hot-- baffled!

only one thing i haven't tried is gaming with open case but why is it high temp on normal use - temp 2,4,5 - anyway of knowing what these are? on normal use nothing is physically hot but on gaming yes, ram is, case especially topside and back.

If you just run ai suite, what mobo temps are you getting?

Okay, if you are getting 100 deg plus where i have marked ignore, then ignore them, as you can see in the image from my cupid monitor a few posts earlier you will see my cpu and aux temps hitting 127 deg. this is because of ai suite, until I removed ai suite totally i never got the correct readings. you can tell they are false as your minimum temp is 2 which is 99.9% impossible if your room temp is is above 2 degs.

Yeh this is why I was saying to disable AI suite first. It's not specifically AI Suite, it's just running multiple applications that monitor the same temps that will cause this. Though AI Suite may be more likely to cause it than other apps, I'm not sure. Also - Good call on pointing out that minimum temp! That's definitely a sign of bad readings.

OK TECHNODEAN - you've got a rid of a bad headache for me i hope lol!.. firstly to confirm these temps are not showing in AI but in open hardware monitor (my screenshot earlier and below)

Secondly i been playing bf3 on ultra now with side panel open about 1hr or so, the case is not getting hot like before, can feel the heat on my legs coming from gpu mainly, the heat is obviously escaping out from side. see my temp stats below, now this screenshot is not with AI but with open hardware monitor. if the readings are incorrect - excellent!

i want the side panel on, what solution to keep heat level down with it on - paid good money for it - please don't say change case and rip it all out..not an option..lol

    thanks mate
