ATI 9800 SE AIW - Help!

Ok I have two problems with this card:

I have just installed this card (it's Hercules branded) into my new system and it works, but I can't seem to get the TV function to work. Under the option of input it is only showing composite and s-video. I think it should also give me the cable/antenna option - but it doesn't show it.
I have been through all the options and can't see anything, I have completed the video wizard and country is set to UK and picture is PAL-I.
I first tried the Multimedia suite v8 which came on the cd but it didn't seem to work so I downloaded v9 from the site. (could this be the problem?)
    Any ideas?

Second thing I need to know is how do I tell if this card is a softmod, I have the Catalyst 4.9 drivers - is that all I need? and how can I tell what speed the card is running at?

Would appreciate any comments, I dont know much about this as my last card was a nVidia Riva TNT!! (I know!)

I have the same card and had the same problems when I got it. What you need is
The omega drivers for your OS from
    http://www.omegadrivers.net/

BUT also get the the latest WDM drivers from
    http://www2.ati.com/drivers/tv-captu...14-10-6246.exe

Install the omega drivers and it gives the option to softmod the card, you might need to fiddle with the omega's to get them to instal properly but there is info in the readme or in the omega forums. I had to install the drivers then run the re-install shortcut that was created in the start menu. You might need to follow the link below to get the tuner up and running, I had to
    http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q825116

The order I would do things is install the microsoft hotfix (last link), you should then be able to use the tv tuner with your current drivers, then install the omegas and the WDM drivers.

You cant softmod with the cats, as far as I am aware at least. The current set of omegas arent as polished as previous ones, as they are having to use a new control panel, and the developer has had a hurricane on his doorstep. The omegas also include an overclocking utility so you can set the spee of the card, the softmod is to enable the extra pixel pipelines. If you get artifacts after installing the omegas with softmod you will need to disable the mod. Luckilly my one is still holding together.
