    Netgear Switch Fans

    Hi There,

I've got a Netgear GSM7224P Managed Switch which has some noisy fans which I'm looking to quieten down.

I've taken the switch apart and have looked at the two fans that are installed. I want to get replacements.

The ones in are 40mm and the cable colours are blue, red and black I'm use to seeing black, red and yellow any ideas on what fan I can get and what the colours match up to?

    Thanks
    Ben

    Re: Netgear Switch Fans

Here's a dumb suggestion- is this not a question that Netgear themselves should be able to assist with - ESPECIALLY if the unit's out of warranty. Took a quick look around the 'net and perhaps one of these MIGHT help:
Still be tempted to see if there's someone out there with a multimeter you could borrow.

If it's a standard 40mm fan then there's lots of suppliers, but if you want a quiet one then I'm going to recommend QuietPC. Use them for a lot of my low noise components and they've never let me down yet - great after sales support.
