    I'm a PC breaker

Well the titel says it all! I went into my PC and played with the wireing and closed it back up! I turned it on and noticed a wire was stuck in a fan, so I hit the power button while it was in the mitel of bios.... Now when I turn my PC on I get a funny siren and the screean say bios checksum error please insert system disc! Well I Fing did it now! So, which do you think will arive first to my house? My BFG Ultra or my new Bios chip?

And to top it off I'm now on my eMachines that has a 1.7GHz celly and 386MBs ddr 2100 ram! Oh, and a not so stable OS! wink* wink*

Any ideas on how to fix this now? What type of disc do they want? Would a bios flash fix it? Can I flash? Would a second swift kick help? I am more woried about how turning the power off caused all this! Any ideas?

Have you reset the BIOS? Checksum error usually means it can't boot with the values iirc. Just reset the CMOS?

I first used the keyboard clear method, then the jumper, then I removed the chip! After clearing I can get it to boot to bios, then it says its setings are messed up and I fix them then it rebots and I get a erro again! So I flashed the bios, well not realy it had a rite error! So I tried again! Same rite error! So I removed the mobo and now am running a older 8knxp rev. 1.0... This just roaly sucks!

Oh, and what does it mean when a coolermaster blue 80mm fans lights blink realy fast? just 3 of the 4 blink...?

Edit: also if my power suply cant handel the ultra I am going to losse it! All this Sizz hapening to me!

myth that language in the thread title was totally unneccasary. Please do not do it again.

The swear filter may have got it - but we all know what you were implying.

@ Michael - give me a chance, i've only just logged on!

Regardless. The end result was the same, the implication of a bad swearword.

Not funny, not clever, no need.
