    Monitor Problem

    Hi There

I will be purchasing a new base unit and intend to use my old monitor untill the funds for a new monitor appear. However, I have noticed that a lot of power supplies nowadays come with one socket, whereas my power supply in my old PC has two, one for the PC itself and one for the monitor.

The question is, will I be unable to use my old montor due to the power supplies in most PC's nowadays?

It's perfectly fine for you to plug the monitor straight into the mains, just use the same cable you use for the computer.

Or you can do what I did if you're getting a new base unit. I brought a PSU with an input AND an output, because I hate having too many plugs in the wall. I'll find you a linky.
