    Few questions regarding fans.

I just got a new PSU today and have it up and running. Well I decided to check my PCs temp from BIOS and just when BIOS was loading the Speech POST Reporter said that the "Video Fan Has Failed", I take it that's to do with the fan on my Radeon 9800Pro? I checked and it's spinning round still, as for how fast well I don't know. Any idea as to what this could be?

Another thing is when I went into BIOS I checked my PCs temps(Mobo, CPU etc.) and the CPU was at around 43C but when I checked the fan speed it only comes up with "0". Also when I check Asus Probe it says that the CPU fan is below threshold, again it's running fine and can go faster when I turn the fan speed control knob.

Does anyone have any idea as to whats causing this?

    PC Spec:

    Asus A7N8X Deluxe
Athlon XP 2700+ w/ Thermaltake Extreme volcano 12 HSF
    Radeon 9800Pro 128MB(256bit)
    Thermaltake Silent PurePower 480w PSU

    Thanks.

For the fanspeed indicators to function the fan has to support the monitoring in the first place, commonly they're the 3pin variety, +volts, 0volts and the fanspeed indicator (pulses once per fan rotation)..

Not sure about the video card fan, unless it's not referring to the actual video card fan but the exhaust fan just above where the video card is?

Got the fan speed indicator working, I forgot to connect the little three pin .

The other error doesn't happen now, I don't know what the heck that was, anyway everything seems fine now.

    Thanks.
