Another interesting problem...

right, after all the hassles ive had, heres one more

random power off's / restarts

seems to be when im running a few apps at once, ive had similar troubles on my last setup, but that was resolved by adjusting the ram to run a lil slower

this time the ram doesnt seem to make a difference... it just powers off but the case fans and lights are still going, and earlier the screen went grey with two thick orange lines going vertically down

i dont know wat this could be as im using my old stuff other than mobo + cpu

Have you tried using some different RAM?

i havent been able to test other ram...

tho ive been running it at lower speeds with no difference, the ram ive had over a year now and was fine in my last setup at 350mhz duel chan

ive ordered a new psu n e way as well, this poo tec sucks hopefully it'll cure my probs, if not, then maybe my ram is fooked :(

yeah i was gonna suggest your PSU

failing that it could be your gfx card, dud mem on gfx cards can cause that kind of error.
