PC won't post
So my pc was fine for ages. I stopped using it for a month or so and when i came back to it the past couple of weeks it's been giving me issues when posting.
When it boots into windows it's fine ,but it struggles to post. It either takes a few seconds after pressing the power button to get it to spring to life or sometimes it won't turn on at all :(
I have checked everything possible and the only thing I can see is the internal usb3 header has two pins that may be touching. That's it, everything else seems okay.
I flick the psu on, the board's start and reset lights turn on but when I press any of them nothing happens now. I can hear electrical noise from the psu but that's standard right?
Anyway, please find my pc specs below and I hope you can help...
SPecs:
Maximus VI Gene
i5 4650k
8gb Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600mhz
Seasonic x series. Maybe 520w?
GTX670
Silverstone FT03b
Sandisk 120gb ssd

Re: PC won't post
Update:
After stripping memory and sata connections, I managed to get the pc to go into a boot loop.
I reset cmos, hit power switch and it booted up, hit 00 led and switched off. Did this continuously...

UPDATE 2:
I waited for an hour or so, booted and it came on. So without switching the psi off (dangerous I know) I replugged everything back in and booted into windows. When I got in, the clock was set to 2008 and some of the notifications tray icons weren't there. Ai Suite wouldn't work properly either.
Is this an SSD issue? or has an ssd issue been created by these events?

Update 3:
I waited for an hour or so, booted and it came on. So without switching the psu off (dangerous I know) I replugged everything back in and booted into windows. When I got in, the clock was set to 2008 and some of the notifications tray icons weren't there. Ai Suite wouldn't work properly either.
The time was 2008 because I cleared cmos/removed battery. The notifications tray returned upon rebooting. I over clocked to 4.6ghz, 1.2v straight off the bat, stress tested and didn't go above 60degrees in an hour of Prime95 blend, and arma3 took it nowhere near that. Temps are about 5-10degrees up from before, think it was auto over clocked to 3.8? Not sure...
I am kinda surprised by the overly good results, I've only got a H60i with 1x Alpenfohn BlueWing fan, intaking from side vent of my cramped FT03b
I have no idea why this happened, I'm not the only for it to happen to. I think it may be a fault on the boards by Asus but hopefully it will continue to work for now.

Re: PC won't post
Sounds like the CMOS corrupted (fairly common if PC has been left off for a while), you reset it and set it back up again

Re: PC won't post
I've never come across this before...
My pc struggled to turn on again, taking about 3-5 seconds to start to post.
Also, When you say 'reset it and set it back up again', what are you referring to exactly?
Thanks!
Side note: my wireless adapter never works upon loading windows. Always needs to be reset (This may be 'half-initialisation of usb' setting in bios though)
