Re: System Fan has failed?
I'm guessing you now have too many fans plugged into one or more motherboard headers...?
Some lower-end boards will not support multiple fans on one header...
A quick look at the Asus P5K-VM motherboard (which is the first one I found having G33 chipset) shows one 4-pin CPU fan header above the RAM slots, a one 3-pin chassis fan header to the right of this and one 3-pin power fan header to the lower left of the CPU...
The manual says: "The fan headers on this board each support cooling fans of 350 mA~2000 mA (24 W max.), or a total of 1 A~7 A (84 W max.) at +12V".
So check what the ratings are of each fan and add up those where you have more than one fan - On the CPU cooler, for example.
Re: System Fan has failed?
Check what the warning level is set at, it'll dypically default to something that would indicate failure on a stock fan. If you're sure its running and have a 120mm cooler or similar the fan is likely running slower than the board thinks safe.
