Whats this cable?
I think its a male f type connector (?) but what is the other end?

there's no writing on the cable itself, just that dark grey pattern.
googling just shows satellite TV cables and similar. I need help.

Re: Whats this cable?
It's not a sma (or rp-sma whatever it's called) wireless style connector is it?

Re: Whats this cable?
That's an F connector on the end, typically used for satellite and cable TV applications, but I'm guessing it's an FM radio antenna.

Re: Whats this cable?
Have to agree with DDY, looks like an antenna cable I had. I'm guessing the other end is blunt because the cable is the antenna and doesn't connect to anything else.

Re: Whats this cable?
FM radio. hmm. I think we have a suitable radio to test it on. will report back shortly.
ding ding, we have a winner, radio antenna it is.
thanks chaps.
will be sticking to the 4ft antenna on the chimney though, it works a little better.
if anyone else has weird cables to diagnose, fee free to hijack this thread :p

Re: Whats this cable?
If only TV antennas in this country would use F connectors instead of those horrid Belling-Lee things.
