    Outlook Express problems

A friend of mine was updating Norton AntiVirus(year unspecified) and ZoneAlarm (version unspecified) and the computer locked up (of course, windows version unspecified)... When he rebooted, the entire contents of his inbox and sentbox in OutLook Express (version unknown), all that remained was what was in his drafts folder...

Anybody know of ways he can recover what used to be in those folders?

(versions of the various software will be posted the instant I get them from him)

And then what should he do with it afterwards if he finds it? how would he import such into outlook express? (I've no idea at all how to use outlook, I use webmail for my various emails)

File, import from within OEx, but tbh, its a bit worrying, you might want to check if norton has not got the mail safe on and has quarantined his entire inbox, you are probably best looking at norton rather than the dbx file as its norton that will have removed the inbox, be it quarantined or disabled....
