So here goes. Presuming you have the "Set Point" drivers installed and you have the little Logitec logo in your system tray, do the following.
1. Right click logitec logo and open "mouse and keyboard settings"
2. Click button 7 (forward button) under "2.select button".
3. Under "3.select task" select other.
4. Click "select function" button.
5. Scroll to "generic button" and click ok.
6. Repeat for button 8 (backwards button)
