Smile Creating Your Genuin Windows 10 Iso Discs

Is there a Genuine way to build a genuine ISO for Windows 10 ? I have 3 computers running WIN 10 in my home and another 3-10 from friends and family i have built systems for. I think there mostly PRO editions because win 8 Pro was so cheap prior to update. so one disk copied several times for each system may do them all.

Where will i locate the individual serial numbers for win 10 and will they have to go through the win 7 - 8 - 8.1 - 10 process as i had to do when formatting win 8.1 systems to use the genuine keys.

You need the windows 10 iso from the ms website.

USB is the way to go, the tool to make a bootable stick:-
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down...-download-tool

Wrt to keys; can't really help. I don't think you need 8.1 to 10 install route.

Re: Creating Your Genuin Windows 10 Iso Discs

You will need a separate ISO for each version - Home, Pro etc, and will have to input the Win 7 product key on the MS site to allow the download.
You won't get a key directly, you will have to do an upgrade of the qualifying OS first - you can use the downloaded ISO for this. Once that is done and activated, MS hold the machine specific info, so you should be able to format and clean install W10 if that's what you want to do.

Re: Creating Your Genuin Windows 10 Iso Discs

    Yeah what a mission lol
i have original win 7 and win 8 dvd's already
So i would have to make a Win 8.1 and win 10 one ?
Or can i just get a win 10 one using my new generated serial from the upgrade via Microsoft. I have a tool that shows me my keys for all MS programs and many others now so i have that sorted and will get it run on all the PC's i have built or have access too so i have a list

Re: Creating Your Genuin Windows 10 Iso Discs

You can make a Win10 one if you prefer, but before you can clean install the free upgrade you have to do an in place upgrade and activation of a qualifying OS. The upgrade will then be linked to your hardware, and can be clean installed without a key - as long as you don't change the hardware significantly.

You do not need a separate ISO, they are the same. 32bit and 64bit are not the same but you can find info on creating an all in one ISO on the mydigitallife.info forums.

Re: Creating Your Genuin Windows 10 Iso Discs

    click https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/soft...load/windows10

    download 'MediaCreationTool.exe.'

run it. select 'create media for another PC'

on next page, where it says architecture. select Both.

it should create either a USB or DVD of windows 10 home and pro 32 and 64bit. everything in one. ISO version 10586.

can install on a blank PC using win 7/7.1/8.8.1/10 keys. use any. it will activate and install. (usual conditions apply if its an already used OEM/Retail key)
can even do the 'upgrade this windows to win 10 using the dvd/usb.

Re: Creating Your Genuin Windows 10 Iso Discs

You no longer need a key to reinstall / fresh install windows 10 once you've upgraded & activated 10 on the system, as the "key" is linked to the hardware / UEFI / BOIS. See explanations here and here, but basically once windows 10 has been successfully activated on a system, you can do a fresh / reinstall on that system without any windows keys at any time and it should automatically activate without having to enter the key from the old version of widows.

This is well and good if you have not built a new system with a new mobo gpu and cpu etc. perhaps they should link it to Hotmail accounts that would work great. Or any email as a user login

It's the same story with earlier Windows licences, make a note of the key before you lose it.

    I would also advise the same for current Windows 7 and 8 machines that have been (or are to be) upgraded to Windows 10, because it turns out, Windows 10 can be directly activated using Win 7/8 keys;

Sorry - i thought your post said you had the PCs already built and running windows 10 upgraded from previous versions, you just wanted a copy of the ISO so you could reinstall. If you're building a new system then you probably need a new key to activate windows on that new PC!

The new builds of Windows 10 will let you use the COA sticker keys from 7 and 8. To save having to install Windows 7/8 then installing all the updates before going to 10. I've tested this with retail and OEM keys.
