    Talking Cables Causing Problems

    Hi

This morning i was using my computer as usual, decided to back up my iPhone... mistake!
I plugged it in, and seconds later the power shut off to the computer! Oh dear!
Now, i noticed that the plastic around the lightning connector on my cable was broken, many people I'm sure experience this as cables get older.
I tried a different cable and it seems to sync fine and both my computer and iPhone seem to be fine.
    So, my question is:
Is there likely to have been damage to my phone or my computer that I don't know about?
And is a broken cable actually dangerous to myself or anyone/anything else... I will buy a new cable, but I'm just curious!

    Cheers

    Re: Cables Causing Problems

If the phone and the computer is doing fine, no (apparent) damage happened to either one of them.

The cable is not dangerous for people (doubt the little power could even sting someone).

But yes, a new cable is a good idea.
