BSOD on bootup after successful bios flash - Help

Help.

Just successfully flashed bios to 1013 on Asus a7n8x-e deluxe (using asus update) only to find on reboot that the system fails just as windows initialises (won't boot to safe mode either). I get the following error

0x0000007B which I have looked up http://support.microsoft.com/default...n-us;Q324103#3 I have tried everything to try to restore windows.

I have flashed to bios 1011 to see if that cures it - no.
I have repaired windows using windows xp cd, but that doesn't help.
I have run check disk and that seemed to do something and is now showing everything is ok.
Windows cd shows all my partitions and drives are still intact.

The only two things I can think of is that the boot sector is corrupt - but chkdsk should fix that or I have a corrupt Raid controller/driver.

Nothing is overclocked.

Does anyone know of any tools for removing the drivers in the command prompt or for correcting boot sector records. Help I am now really stumped.

I am now downloading some software from the disk manufacturer to see if that helps.

If you can't boot into safe mode then it's probably going to be a case of a clean install of XP by the looks of things..Also you might try last known good config option after hitting F8 after the bios finishes.

If you can get into Safe mode try and rollback using system restore, might just do it but...

Olly - I have tried all of those. Safe mode would be heaven.

Further info: I have tried fixmbr and fixbootup from the recovery console and this still doesn't fix it.

The 7B error is an inaccessable boot device error. I think that there is an issue with the raid driver but I don't know how to fix this.

Well the problem is that as you have Raid 0 it means that if you have corrupted XP then it's stripped across both disks and (now I haven't used Raid 0 only raid 5 at work) I would imagine that it makes it impossible to get data off the disks by putting them into another machine, beings as it's stripped across both disks, someone correct me if I'm wrong..

The data is not the problem as I have backed up everything except my documents before I flashed. You are correct in that putting the disks into another machine will not work, however windows sits on its own partition.

The actual striping across both disks isn't an issue as any tool/program will see a partition.

The issue is I have inaccessable boot device caused by a sata controller/driver conflict. I can't find anything to fix this. Looks like a format and re-install is the only solution :(

Now I've got to dig into the old brainboxes memory and remember the Dos commands to copy my documents to somewhere safe. arrgh.
