Editing/Pruning Add/Remove Programs list

Hi to all at the Help forum. I know that there may be other similar posts to this one somewhere on the forums, but I haven't had any luck finding a useful reply using Search, so apologies if this is a duplicate. I have recently uninstalled a couple of games using the Add/Remove Programs tool in XP, but although the program directories are gone, the entry for the games remain in the list. This bugs me on an aesthetic and practical level, so does anyone know of any way to remove specific entries from the list?
I'd ideally like software suggestions as I'm a bit dubious about manually fiddling with the Registry. I know there are programs that can do lots of UI manipulations, but I already have several, so I SPECIFICALLY need a manual progs-list editor. Any help would be gratefully recieved.

Try Tweak UI of my fave X-Setup
Failing that, pop along to www.jv16.org as they have some class registry cleaning/editing toolz.
