Angry New Rechargable Batteries for my MX700 Still problems.

Hey guys... Well I've been waiting for my new batteries to come and they have arrived. I inserted them into the mouse and in a short matter of 30-45 minutes it said "low batteries, please place on recharging depot" or whatever. Anyways I did, and the red light doesn't blink green. It still blinks red. However though, when I put it on the charger and made sure it was inserted practically perfect, the optical light starts blinking really fast and non-stop. Now I dont know if they gave me realllly low energized batteries and they just needed to be charged. However I even read the paper that states "it will blink green when its chargin" So right now i'm a little big angered lol. Here's the name and quality of the batteries.

    Powerizer
    "professional for portable power"
    (Other Side)
    Powerizer
    "2300mAh RECHARGABLE"

    Thanks for the help guys.

Sounds like it could be the mouse or charging base at fault if its not indicating its chargin

I would try with some standard AAs and see what happens

I did when I first got my mouse, I inserted them in and it was working for quite a while until it said the batteries were low. So then I put them on the docking base and it just blinked red like it's doing now. Also when they were in, I would put the mouse on the charger and it didnt blink red or do anything really. I dont see how the base could be faulty though.

I had similar problems with the batteries that came in my MX700. From new they wouldn't hold their charge for any decent length of time. I solved my problem by charging them in another battery charger once & since then they've charged fine & held their charge.

Also i've tried other some other rechargable batteries in the mouse and they wouldn't charge at all in the docking station. No green charge light or anything.

I've had the same problem with my MX700.

I thought, after 8 months or so, that the original batteries were faulty and threw them away.

    On reflection, they probably weren't.

I've noticed that the charger/receiver isn't that good at charging. I cleaned all terminals and for a while, all was OK.

But now it's gone back to being fernicketty again.

Now, I just keep two rechargeables in a seperate charger and when the MX700 batteries run down, I swap em out for two freshly charged batteries.

I'm thinking the MX700 charger is possibly not the best one on the planet.

One has to adapt to make up for manufacturer's shortcomings.

No problems at all, however, with my MX1000. That's a good mouse/charger combo.

Oh, btw, hi there Jim, small world innit?

Well my friend has a batterie charger i'll try that. I just hope these batteries arent any off brand or just wont work with my mouse kind because I wouldnt want to go buy ANOTHER pair.

Oh and clean the dock, mouse ect...? How do you do that? To me my mouse and docking station look spotless!

    Thanks for the help guys!

I have this issue as well and when docking the mouse I always give it a wiggle and then wait for the LED underneath to turn off and then the red light to appear on the top of the mouse. I have placed it in many a time and it hasn't charged (for the record - I am usually drunk when this occurs mind you )
