Ok I have managed to complete all the instruction and all went well. "Ad-Aware SE" found about 20 file which should not have been there. And I have installed Norton Anti Virus. And that found one file. I cannot remember the name something like 32WIN virus or something like.

After all this work, it seems that my system is clean at last.

Thank again for your help and advise

    Cheers.

I think you should know that ad-aware or spybot s&d do not pick up everything. I had an example of this the other day on a clients machine. After running both of them I ran spy sweeper which picked up another 20 instances of spyware. Also it is best to run these anti spyware or anti virus apps in safe mode or even better still off a boot disk.

    my 2 cents

    Smile M/S XP2 Cd.

    Dendil,
After doing a system format and reinstalling your O/S.
You must install the XP2 update Cd, this has the Microsoft Firewall which you
must, repeat, must enable prior to going on the Net.

If you ring M/S. Support 0870-6010100 they will send you a XP2 Cd Free of Charge, a little longwinded mind,
or better still for immediate use try to beg, steal, or borrow one.

I did the same as you went on the net after format hoping to download ZoneAlarm,
Bang I was hit by 4 Viruses immediately.

I borrowed XP2 Disk after another reformat and enabled MS Firewall prior to downloading
    ZoneAlarm.
    Problem Solved.

Success, can be the result of many Failures,
and believe me, I should know I have enough.
