Hey all,
I recently bought a new 4TB hard drive. My existing set up has
120GB OCZ SSD (windows/boot)
750GB HDD
1TB HDD
I added in the new 4TB HDD and booted into Windows no problem. I transferred the contents of the 750GB HDD (as it was the oldest) to the newer 4TB HDD. There were a few unknown files that wouldn't cut/paste but they would copy paste, so I just did that.
This is where it gets weird. I removed the old 750GB drive from my machine and it said that boot media was missing. I checked and the SSD was still visible in BIOS, and then removed all options except the SSD in the BIOS boot order. It still wouldn't boot into Windows. The 750GB apparently has to be present for windows to load, but I cannot figure out why, even with all the same files that existed on it now present on the new 4TB drive.
Can anyone help with this?
Cheers,
E
