I had some elixir ram and I'm sure it came up as nanya tech ram in cpuz.I had 2x512mb and 3 x 256mb sticks and they worked no bother in my a7n8x mobo but they didnt really like my new nf7-s tho. They did what it said on the tin. They were pc3200 and not pc2700 like yours. You can only try m8...

    Thanks for your help!

I thought i may of got probs by mixing 3 x 256mb, as i know that ram works better in pairs! Also what would happen if i mixed a pc3200 stick with 2 pc2700 sticks or even 1 x 512 stick with the 2 x 256?

Ram only works better in pairs if they are configured as dual channel
Generally mixing sizes of ram is fine, its just the speed and timing of the ram which can cause problems.
